Kayak Tours (depending on weather, tides and currents. Includes boats and gear. Discount if you have your own boat.) $65 Oro Bay - This is 3-4 nautical miles(nm) and takes about 3-3+ hours of light paddling. It is sheltered and good for inexperienced paddlers, who want an introduction to Kayaking along with some local history. Points of interest are the marina in Vega bay, the slew at East Oro and the brick factory near Jacobs’ Point. This is our most popular tour. Northwest Coves - This is 5-5 +nm and takes about 4 and 1⁄2 hours. Points of interest are Higgens and Lovass coves, and Amsterdam Bay and under seal life. Paddled at high tide. Andys Marine Park (Possible Amsterdam Bay) - This is about 4 nm and takes about 3-3 and 1⁄2 hours along with a stop at the marine park. At low tide you can see moon snails, sand dollars and sea anemones. Ketron - This is about 6 nm including a 1 and 1⁄2 nm open water crossing. Along with one stop this will take about 4+ hours. You will need to bring food and water. Nisqually Delta - Depending on destination, the nm and time may very, and there is an open water crossing of 2 nm. A short trip may be about 5 nm and a longer one about 8 nm including a stop at Lure beach. This may take 5-6 hours and you will need to bring food and water. Around Anderson Island - This is about 13 nm with 2 stops for about 5- 6+ hours depending on paddle speed. Items of interest will be seen on this trip that you will not see and the others. You will need to bring a lunch, water and snacks. $75 |
