What to wear or take paddling

The well dressed paddler in winter will ware a wet suit or dry suit to protect against the cold and hypothermia. They may also be used any time of the year depending on weather, water condition, function of paddle or extended trips. In summer hot months, ware something that wicks way from the skin and dries quickly, not cotton. Often take extra dry clothes and shoes with you.

These may be things you may need to take with you, such as:

- hat with brim
- sunglasses
- sunscreen
- water bottle with water
- old shoes that will get muddy and wet (or water socks)
- paddle gloves
- snacks (or lunch) in zip lock bags (or dry bags)
- rain slicker
- towel
- drybags or stong ziplock bags for phones, cameras, keys
- other things deemed needed by trip leader
