Kayak Tours are subject to change depending on weather, wind, tides and currents. Most tours begin at the Riviera Marina, depending on destination. Tours are encouraged in Tandems (doubles) as they are more stable. Take a nice comfortable pace, as we kayak to some of our favorite places, seek marine life, birds, and the spectacular scenery of the Northwest. No experience is necessary, as your expert guide will share basic paddling skills with you(minimum of 4 people for a tour). Reservations Encouraged.
Single Kayak = $50, Tandem = $40 each person, and if you have your own boat = $20.
Oro Bay - Our most popular tour is about 4 nautical miles (nm) and takes about 3 hours of light paddling. It is sheltered and good for inexperienced paddlers.
North coves - Paddled only on high tides, these 2 secluded coves may be coupled with Amsterdam Bay, to create about a 3.5 hour paddle.
Andys Marine Park - A short paddle of about 2.5 hours, can be combined with Amsterdam Bay for about a 4 hour paddle.
Eagle Island - Best at slack tide (very little water movement), and is about 3 hours depending if you stop on the Island.
Around Anderson Island - This is a 13 nm trip, with 2 stops for about 5.5 to 6 hours of paddling. Paddlers should have experienced another trip befor trying this one, as it is longer. This trip gives you bragging rights.
Trips to Ketron and Nisqually - These are open water crossings and depend on gentle winds and tides. Ketron would be about 3.5 hours, and Nisqually would be about 4 hours with a stop at Luhr beach. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is a prime trip for birders. Seals may join us, as we enjoy the views of Mt. Raineer and the Olympics (on a sunny day).
