In winter or inclement weather, the well dressed paddler will wear a wet suit or a dry suit to protect against the cold and hypothermia. Suits may also be used any time of the year depending on weather, water conditions, function of paddle or extended week long trips. In the summer hot months, wear somthing that wicks moisture away from the skin and dries guickly, shorts and light weight tops (preferable not cotton).
Things to bring:
- hat with brim
- sunglasses
- sunscreen
- water bottle with water
- water socks or old shoes (they will get wet)
- snacks or lunch (in zip locks)
- camera (in zip lock or dry bag)
- rain slicker (yes, it may rain)
- towel and extra clothes
We provide: paddles, PFDs (life vests), spray skirts, safety equipment and dry bags if needed at no extra cost.
